This snaffle bit should be a top choice when using a twisted snaffle. The combination of the slightly weighted ring with a 3/8 twisted snaffle makes this bit perfectly balanced for training and every day riding. The weight of the ring increases feel for both the horse and rider, giving the horse pre-signals to rein cures and providing clearer communication. Copper tastes sour to the horse (a bit like a green apple) and will increase salivation. This makes the bit more comfortable for the horse and leads to a relaxed jaw and acceptance of the bit.
